A project sponsored by the Arlington Camera Club (ACC) in cooperation with the Arlington Heights Historical Society.
Members of ACC are encouraged to produce pictures of potential historical value in Arlington Heights for presentation to the Arlington Heights Historical Society for approval and acceptance into their permanent research collections. Emphasis should be on the documentary and factual, although aesthetic quality should not be neglected.
Photographs of "potential historical value" are pictures taken today which are likely to be of interest in the future to historians and others who have interest in the Arlington Heights area. This includes all types of architecture and structures and activities of all kinds. Prints made from old negatives, or the negatives themselves, are always welcome.
The Arlington Heights Historical Society from time to time places the photographs on exhibition. Authors and publishers may also use them. When a photograph is used for publication, the photographer, as well as the Arlington Heights Historical Society, is to be mentioned in the credit line. All photographs that are accepted by the Arlington Heights Historical Society must be the original work of the contributing photographer.
